Mount Assiniboine Sunrise

  • Info

One of the best adventures around Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park is the hike up to The Nub. The trail will take you along gorgeous crystal-clear lakes and through the shadows of towering peaks. While it isn’t a long hike, it certainly isn’t a flat hike.

Although catching the view from The Nub at sunrise will require ascending the mountain in the dark through grizzly territory, it is an adventure I recommend to anyone visiting the park. And besides, while I did have a grizzly bear encounter in the park, it wasn’t on this trail.

    So there’s that.
